You’re invited to join spoken word poet, Claire Blotter, for a launch/reading/walk celebrating her new collection, EXPANDING.WATER.WAYS., and the gift of water on Sunday, May 19th at 1:30pm. She’ll read and perform poems along the spectacular San Francisco Bay Trail Waterway behind Strawberry Point School in Mill Valley, ending up at Jane’s Sweet Things Bakery in Cove Shopping Center for cookies and treats.
The easy flat walk is about 30-40 min. both ways so the total event with poems should last a little over an hour, not including the mid-way bakery break. A few surprise guests will perform odes/ creatively praise the gift of water on the walk back to the school/trail parking lot.
This is the first in a series of walks/poetry performances along California waterways and beyond bringing attention to the loss of US wetlands protection resulting from the 2023 Supreme Court decision.
Please bring a water bottle so we can all toast to the waterways.
