Alice Pero, Poet/Teacher from Los Angeles County was named Poet Laureate of Sunland/Tujunga in March 2020. Her book of dialogue in art and poetry, with New York City artist, Vera Campion, Beyond Birds and Answers, was recently accepted for publication by Elyssar Press. This book which should come out in 2021, will be suitable for Poet/Teachers looking for material for lessons in ekphrastic poetry. Earlier this year Pero continued teaching poetry during the time of COVID to her class at Delphian School in Los Angeles with a series of videos.
